Ora et Labora… tsk tsk…

June 7, 2006

First day of classes? June 13.  Enrollment? June 13 & 14.

Unfair.  We would miss the first days of classes.

Our grades havn’t been released. I’ve been texting friends who might have news from the “inside.” Partly the reason why my phone line was cut. Thanks to my mom, she gave me load for my other phone. hihi

June 5 – Lalabas daw grades bukas!!!  I didn’t get much excited about it.  I’ve been in this situation last year. Ha! I won’t believe those rumors that easily.  But there’s still a part of me which wanted to believe… to end this excruciating wait.  I ended up going to Festival the next day. haha.

June 6 – News have it that the office will release the list of those “in” or “out” blahblahblah… This is a forwarded message from I don’t know who. I think it’s a chain letter. hahaha.  I forwarded it. Just so my freshmen friends would get excited. haha

June 7 – Grades will be released at 1:30 pm.  Again, I was supposed to go to school today.  Incoming 2nd year students could already get their grades.  That’s what they said.  5pm came and the one who told me this was still in school, not knowing his grades.  The office remained closed.  Oh, atleast, they got the list of retained students… the [un]fortunate incoming sophomores!

Grades will be released on Monday.  I wonder when those school employees who are too busy to open their offices on a schoolday care to  entertain the students on a holiday???

Other sections are not yet evaluated.  What sections did they evaluate first?  B and F. Nice order…

So there… I’m expecting to receive more text messages telling me when the grades will be released or when we may know whether we’re retained or not.

This is actually torture for us who are at the brink of passing and making it to the list each year!  This means sleepless nights, headaches and pimples! My heart literally leaps everytime I hear the word, “grades”.  My dad had been asking me when I would be enrolling and I tell him the date yet I don’t even know if the school would still accept me. Huhhuhuhhuuuu…. If not for the vanishing prestige and evaporating excellent records of my school, I would’ve long enrolled somewhere else.

I’ve just received a message… Almost all the great professors had resigned. Oh, goodluck!

I can totally relate to this post. It's really hard waiting for your grades to be released especially when you can't assess your performance yourself. Whew!

I bet you'll get good grades.. =)
